“SEEN” OPENING AT PROpellor

A shadowy silhouette cast on a textured concrete sidewalk partially covered with vibrant pink spray paint. The bold text ‘David Crompton SEEN’ is overlaid in the bottom right corner, standing out against the vivid colour contrast.

I have a show opening soon at Propellor Studio and Gallery on Granville Island, in Vancouver. I’m honoured and excited to have my work intertwine with the beautiful work Pam Goddard, Toby Barrat and Nik Rust create and curate in that space – there’s a radiant creative pulse I feel as soon as I step through the door.

The show, “Seen,” offers a glimpse into my current practice at the intersection of parallel streams of work. The exhibition features three components: a new publication, “Umwelt,” which contains 88 images selected from 2017 to 2024; photographic works from my ongoing series “Just As You Are”; and selected pieces from my new collage series “Umwelt Colliders.”

We invite you to join us for the opening Friday, June 21st from 6-9PM. Not only is it the first full day of summer, it’s a full strawberry moon!
